RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

General restorative dentistry includes the essential “day to day” treatments that help us maintain a functioning dentition and good oral hygiene. These procedures can include anything from full mouth examinations to routine radiographs and composite restorations (fillings) that treat mild to moderate decay.

ORAL HYGIENE AND TEETH WHITENING

Oral hygiene is an integral part of your biannual visit to our practice. We not only help in eliminating to contributors to bad breath and decay, but will assist with a routine that will help keep them away. When your teeth are clean, and well maintained, there is always the option of brightening up your smile with a professional bleaching treatment.

ENDODONTICS

When tragedy strikes, and a tooth becomes infected or fractured badly, we offer treatment that includes the removal of the infected nerve tissue inside your tooth, rather than removing the tooth itself. When approached correctly, it is not nearly as bad of an experience as depicted in the media. It is just very important to note that a root canal treated tooth will need a crown to protect the remaining tooth structure.

PROSTHETIC AND IMPLANT DENTISTRY

At Tandkliniek, we do not place implants, but pride ourselves in working alongside experienced specialists in this field. Once they completed the surgical placement of the implants, we will assist in the final restoration thereof. This can range from a fixed single tooth to an “all on 4” system. There are also removable options available for replacing missing teeth. These can either be implant, or tooth supported. Unfortunately we will not be able to assist in constructing traditional full upper and lower dentures, if there are no implants available for retentive and stability purposes.

PAEDODONTIC DENTISTRY

At Tandkliniek we cater for the whole family. Children are most welcome, and if the experience is too overwhelming, we can offer a day theatre procedure at the Medical Forum Theatre. This can help in keeping everybody happy, healthy and smiling!
